Week beginning 14th September:
Research into conventions of typical music magazines including front cover, contents page and double page spread and information was put into a word document.
Week beginning 21st September:
Created a Blogger and a Flickr account so I was able to start analysis' and creating my blog.
Week beginning 28th September:
Analysis of front pages, contents pages and double page spreads which were uploaded to my blog via Flickr along with research from music magazines.
Week beginning 4th October:
Created a Prezi account so I was able to present my findings in various forms. I then uploaded the research I had previously found about the history of music magazines onto my blog in the form of a Prezi.
Week beginning 11th October:
Began to start preliminary task of creating a college magazine using the knowledge from the conventions of music magazines. I also planned my magazine and began to take photo's which I would include in my college magazine during this time.
Week beginning 16th October:
Constructed my prelim magazine using Photoshop 7.0.
Week beginning 23rd October:
Created a surveymonkey account so I was able to distribute questionnaires easily in order to receive feedback on my magazine. Results were obtained in the form of a graph and the magazine pages and findings were uploaded onto my blog.
Week beginning 30th October:
Planned which genre of music I would like my magazine to be and researched into the hobbies/likes of my target audience and showed this in the form of a mood board. Also, I constructed a mood board which represents the genre of the magazine and what things may be included. These were uploaded to my blog.
Week beginning 6th November:
I created sketches of what I plan for my front page, contents page and double page spread to look like. These were scanned onto my blog and uploaded as images. I then created a questionnaire about each of the pages and received feedback. I showed the feedback in the form of graphs and explained if I needed to change aspects of the sketches due to the feedback.
Week beginning 13th November:
From my sketches, I was then able to create shot plans for what I wanted my photographs to be like. This was shown in the form of a sketch and uploaded to Flickr with annotations as to why I had chosen certain shots.
Week beginning 20th November:
As I knew how my photographs were going to be taken, I was able to create a risk assessment to ensure the safety of my models or myself. I showed this in the form of a table so it was easy to read.
Week beginning 27th November:
During this time period I wrote the copy for my double page spread and uploaded it to my blog. I then received feedback and made amendments to the text I wrote first.
Week beginning 11th December:
The photo's were taken from my shot plans which I placed on my blog and wrote about why I had chosen them and the changes I had made to some of them in Photoshop.
Week beginning 18th December:
I began to construct my final front cover for the magazine, using Photoshop.
Week beginning 2nd January:
I began to construct my final contents page for the magazine using Photoshop.
Week beginning 16th January:
I began to construct my final double page spread for the magazine using Photoshop.
Week beginning 1st February:
I received feedback and made changes to the magazine pages.
